This summer and autumn, a public survey is being offered to public libraries in the Netherlands.
The survey provides an accessible tool to ask our members, visitors and potential visitors about all relevant aspects of their (expected) library visit, in a scientifically substantiated way. This independent survey is organised in the Netherlands with the support of the University of Groningen and the Association of Public Libraries. The survey is being offered at the same time to public libraries in France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy and Belgium. More than 900 libraries are taking part.
The information from this survey is not only of great value to us as a Library, but potentially also provides insight into our facilities compared with libraries in similar urban environments throughout the Netherlands and Europe. That information is of course also very valuable for the municipality of Heerlen.
